The Wild Bunch
Elk Creek Ranch had three foals join the herd this summer: Stella, Summit, and Chico. They found or invented many ways to entertain us, to be entertained, and to keep their mothers on their toes.
They had great fun running interference for ranchers trying to ride the barrels.
After all that hard work, they needed some afternoon nap time and rancher affection.
Chewing on a stick, or most anything else, is a great way to finish a hard afternoon at the barrels.
Then it is off to the evening wrangle to show the moms where to go.
