The Trek Returns... Or Mountains, Ho!

Leadership

For nearly 30 years, Elk Creek Ranch had a Trek Program with three-week treks into the high mountain reaches of NW Wyoming. They always depended on having the right leader. When we did not have that person, we retired the program, reluctantly. Last year one of our staff started the crusade to revive the Treks, and so we are for the second session 2024.  We thought some past Trek photos would be fun.

Climbing Mountains

We were forever going up mountains and topping mountains and camping in the mountains and climbing other mountains.

Having Fun

We spent a good deal of the time having fun on the snow hiking and glisading and having snowball fights or snow cones, and some time trying to cook dinner and keep warm. Other times we dropped down to the alpine lakes where the cold water was another refreshing challenge.

The Challenge of Getting There

In the end most of the trekkers most enjoyed the lofty mountain peaks and, after a few days of recovery, the challenges of getting there.
